Our restaurant is on two floors, if you need to be seated on the ground floor, please make us aware of this in the booking comments.

For all bookings over 8 people, please contact us directly either over the phone or by email. Please do not use the comments section to add on more guests to your table as the diary will only reserve seats for up to 8 or the maximum number of available spaces at your specified time. Please call us and we can help.

Parties of over 10 will be asked for a pre order a couple of days before your booking, this is to make sure that we have prepared enough of your favourite dishes when you come in!

About us

A FAMILY STORY

Giovannis was set up in the late 1980’s by a local English couple. We don’t actually know how or why they decided to plonk an Italian restaurant on this busy road in Crewe – but it worked, and soon became the place to go for family outings and first dates.

Even now, many people speak fondly of the memories they have of Giovannis – and always mention the famous garlic mushrooms!

A MESSAGE FROM CARRIE

I’m not Italian, neither is James but we LOVE Italy and pretty much everything that goes with it: the weather, architecture, the people; the language… not to mention the cuisine and arguably the best wine in the world – the country is incredible and quite frankly we are in love with the place.

We want our passion for Italy to shine through our menu. We take inspiration from the typical dishes we see on the menus from the different regions, which isn’t an excuse to make occasional trips to the country of course – well ok it is, but every job has an occupational hazard doesn’t it?

Gio’s is all about pizza and pasta, simple food done well.

Gios is a bit of a magical little place...

FAQS

Do I have to book, or can I just show up?

We always say it’s best to book…But it isn’t the law! Reservations really do help us when working out how many staff to have available and how much food to prepare but we also realise this isn’t always possible. We will always do our best to accommodate walk ins but please bear in mind our busiest periods (Friday and Saturday evenings) as we may not be able to seat you immediately – booking is definitely recommended for these times in particular.

How Do I Book a Table?

There are two ways to book a table. You may give us a call and speak with one of our front of house team; or through our reservation diary which you can find on our website here!

How do I cancel a booking?

Letting us know that you are unable to make an existing booking is always appreciated. If you booked through the ResDiary, you can simply find your booking confirmation email and cancel it through there, alternatively you can give us a call at the restaurant and we will happily do it for you.

How do you cater for people who have allergies or special dietary requirements?

We do not have separate menus for differing food allergies or intolerances. We believe that one menu works for everyone. We offer gluten free options, vegetarian and vegan dishes and clearly mark any dishes that contain nuts.

How do I order takeaway?

You can pre order a take away by giving us a call at the restaurant giving us as much time as you can. Please bear in mind our busy periods where we will busy inside the restaurant and might struggle to make a take away order of 12 dishes in 15 minutes! We hugely appreciate as much notice as you can. If you are unable to get to the restaurant yourself and you don’t have a friend to do the honours, you can have a Gios delivered through the Deliveroo app.
